Features
- The Ascent 4AS Channel Letter Bending Machine is fully programmable and calibrated for all materials, with the ability to add new materials easily in the future.
- The machine has all the necessary components, including a coil holder and extrusion holder.
- UL extrusion / profiles are non-proprietary and can be purchased from Ascent at competitive prices or in large quantities directly from the manufacturer.
- Extrusion comes in 1.75", 2", 3", 4", and F-trim sizes.
- Extrusion is painted Epoxy white that can be used without repainting or as an excellent primer for different colors. Other colors are available.
- Ascent's extrusion system uses a pneumatic gun (supplied with the machine) with tiny stainless-steel nails to form the initial shape of the letter, eliminating the need for adhesive. This makes producing trimless letters easier than the competition's system, which uses adhesive and a magnet table.
- The Ascent extrusion system is a UL/RU Recognized Component for indoor and outdoor use for letters up to 66" (the competition's own published guidance recommends not exceeding 38" for exterior letters).
- This bending machine accommodates coils of stainless steel, brass, aluminum, galvanized steel, and copper.
- Aluminum coils' height ranges from 1" to 8" (203.2 mm), thickness 0.025" to 0.063".
- Ascent equipment is the only bending system in the industry capable of making the smallest letters, with no size limit.
- The Ascent system can produce reverse halo letters without welding.
- New operators can quickly run the machine and perform final assembly after three hours of training.
- Ascent includes installation, start-up, and complete training on the equipment with every machine.
- Separate knife and cutter heads for aluminum and stainless steel (software-driven) — more accurate letters than the competition's lengthy mechanical setup when changing materials.
- Uses 110 VAC / 30 A electrical power and compressed air: cleaner, more efficient operation than systems with an oil pump.
- Critical components made with superior reliability components.
- All recommended adhesives are produced and tested by the largest adhesive manufacturers in the US.
- Adhesive assembly is thoroughly tested at the Ascent Lab in a professional environmental chamber from −20 °C to +80 °C at 80 % humidity.
- Specially formulated Epoxy prevents "yellowing" when exposed to UV light.
- Support technicians available in Toronto, ON · Buffalo, NY · service center in Kentucky · or via the internet for diagnostics, calibration, and training.
- Competitive price.
- Familiar Windows operating system.
- Fully assembled and ready to go.
- Large stainless steel output table.

Create stunning channel letters with the Ascent 4AS
The Ascent 4AS is a CNC bending machine for shops producing several channel letter styles from aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, brass, or copper. It is designed to make return forming faster and more repeatable while keeping the controls practical for a production operator.
What the Ascent 4AS Changes in Production
The Ascent 4AS moves the return-bending step from manual layout and forming to a repeatable CNC process. That reduces bending time and makes output less dependent on the pace of one experienced fabricator.
The Ascent 4AS handles 0.040" and 0.063" aluminum, along with stainless steel and galvanized steel, producing traditional front-lit, reverse halo (without welding), and side-illuminated letters with plastic returns. As a fourth-generation machine, it's built for precise, repeatable side returns — automating the bending steps that used to depend on one experienced fabricator's hands, which is where most of the labor savings comes from. New operators can complete training and perform final assembly in about three hours.
The extrusion system's UL/RU Recognized Component rating covers indoor and outdoor use for letters up to 66".
How the Ascent 4AS integrates with your business
The Ascent 4AS uses the same design files that feed the rest of a digital sign-production workflow. A shop can cut faces and backs on its existing CNC router, then send the return geometry to the bender without laying out every bend by hand.
This bending machine significantly reduces production time. What might take hours by hand can be done in minutes with the Ascent 4AS. The combination of speed and precision lets you take on more projects, deliver them faster, and gain a competitive edge across Canada and the USA.
The machine includes a 3-year warranty — 2 years on materials and labor, plus 1 additional year parts-only. Canadian technicians provide installation, training, remote diagnostics, and service support.

Frequently asked questions
How does the Ascent 4AS improve my business's efficiency?
The Ascent 4AS automates return bending from a digital file. That reduces manual measuring and forming time, while leaving fitting, assembly, wiring, and quality checks with the production team.
What materials can the Ascent 4AS handle, and does it work with my existing CNC router machines?
The Ascent 4AS works with aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, brass, and copper. It accepts the design files used in a digital production workflow and forms the returns after faces and backs are cut on the shop's existing equipment.
Is the Ascent 4AS difficult to operate, and what kind of support does Ascent provide?
Not at all. The Ascent 4AS features a user-friendly Windows operating system. With our comprehensive training program, a new operator can be proficient in just a few hours. Ascent provides full installation, setup, and training at your facility from our technicians in Canada and the USA. We also offer a 3-year warranty on materials and labor (2 years comprehensive, plus 1 additional year parts-only) and remote support and diagnostics to keep your CNC channel letter bending machine running smoothly.
