Features of the Ascent Channel Letter Stapler
- Ascent stapler connects the side return to the back of the channel letter using galvanized or stainless-steel crown staples. It can notch and flange various letter types.
- These machines are specifically designed to work with aluminum side returns and ACM (Composite Aluminum Material) or aluminum or polycarbonate for the back.
- The galvanized crown staples used are 16 gauge and have a medium size of 7/16" (usually 1/2" long).
- The tabletop of the machine can be adjusted to match the depth of the channel letter, allowing for letters of any depth to be accommodated. There is no limitation on the size of the letter that can be worked on. Introducing the Electric Power Table.
- The machine is fast and easy to operate. It uses standard industrial crown staples, which can be purchased for less than $40 per 5000 staples from any industrial supplier.
- Compressed air is used to power the machine, with a foot pedal for control.
- The machine works with any size flange tab.
- It includes several safety features, such as not firing the stapler until it is close to the letter and using a laser pointer to guide the operator and prevent accidental finger placement.
Comparison to other methods
Compared to a channel letter clinching machine, the Ascent stapler is safer, can connect backs of aluminum, ACM, or polycarbonate (not limited to metal), and it is less expensive.
Compared to the channel letter SPR Self-Piercing Rivets machine, the galvanized staples used with the Ascent stapler are cheaper ($40 per 5000 staples versus $50 per 1000 rivets), and the stapler is easier to operate. The stapler itself is less expensive.
Compared to a channel-letter stitcher, the Ascent stapler is safer to operate because it prevents damage to ACM or polycarbonate. An adjustable table is included in the price, making it more convenient and cost-effective. The stapler itself is also less expensive and easier to use.
